Lenzing unveiled refreshed TENCEL™ brand and strengthened collaboration with value chain partners during Intertextile Shanghai

Recently, Lenzing attended the 2024 Intertextile Shanghai Autumn Edition, where the refreshed TENCEL™ branding made its first appearance. Through this opportunity, Lenzing also showcased the redefined fiber standards of the TENCEL™ brand portfolio and further demonstrated its emphasis on collaboration with value chain partners across the globe.

During the three-day event, Lenzing curated three dedicated themed exhibition areas, showcasing the refreshed TENCEL™ brand, innovative product offerings, and sustainable practices [1], which can help to strengthen awareness towards alternative, circular raw materials for textile products. The areas were popular among visitors, proving an active, keen interest in low-impact materials and practices which are becoming the focus of various sectors within the textile industry. This also fosters Lenzing’s belief that the community of like-minded players in textile sustainability and circularity will continue to grow and thrive in the years to come.

In the innovative product exhibit, Lenzing did not only showcase its extensive fiber portfolio, but also demonstrated the versatility and compatibility of Lenzing’s fibers. For instance, LENZING™ LFH fibers, a type of cross-linking fiber with a superior spinning fiber profile that has a lower dust level and a more pleasant fabric appearance was showcased. Also highlighted during the trade show was LENZING™ ECOVERO™ black viscose, a dope-dyed fiber with outstanding color retention, sweat resistance, and fastness to light. In addition, to propel circularity and empower businesses to achieve that, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fiber with REFIBRA™ technology was one of the highlights of the show that demonstrates that sustainable practices do not compromise quality and strength of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers. Made of wood and recycled pre- and post-consumer textile waste [2], LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fiber with REFIBRA™ technology offers a new solution for recycling global textile waste.

According to a speech by Rohit Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Lenzing AG during the event, “Lenzing will continue to work closely with the supply chain and value chain partners to bring new innovations and solutions to the market. By upgrading our techniques and technologies, we strive to create more top-tier products for customers. At this year’s Intertextile Shanghai Autumn Edition, we invited 43 partners to join us, bringing together their expertise in spinning, weaving, dyeing, and finishing at the exhibition through satellite booths. Together, we will bring natural, comfortable products to end consumers by quickly responding to demands from mills and brands through reliable and optimized supply. We also endeavor to promote the sustainable development of the fashion industry by advocating for positive environmental development.”

“China is an enormous market in size with a strong potential in domestic demand, rendering it one of the most salient regions in the global textile industry and for Lenzing’s strategic development,” said Kit Ping Au-Yeung, Executive Vice President of Textile, Lenzing AG. "Lenzing will leverage its strengths to reinforce its foothold in product innovation, sustainable development, global distribution, and industry chain coordination. It will also further the collaborations with downstream partners and collect local insights on consumer needs in China in order to provide more flexible, seemly solutions, achieving more effective improvement in services and brand cooperation.
